ALFABETO NUMERICO - small
Each letter in the Alfabeto Numerico collection begins as a simple sheet of metal and becomes a sculptural form through hours of hand fabrication at my bench. Inspired by Carlo Scarpa’s architecture, I approached each piece as a small façade, thinking in planes, steps, and weighted proportions rather than traditional typography.
These shapes are not drawn; they are built. Cut by hand, filed, refined, and shaped through touch and repetition, each form carries the irregularities and quiet precision that only come from human hands. The geometry is intentional but never mechanical, with softened edges, slow-arrived curves, and surfaces that hold subtle traces of the making process.
The result is an alphabet of forms that feels architectural, abstract, and deeply personal. Letters that stand as objects on their own, bold, flat, dimensional, and honest in their construction. Handcrafted entirely in my studio, each one becomes a small monument to process, proportion, and craft.
